How to approach a woman if you’re shy?
• Practice by talking to others:
Practicing short conversations with others helps improve your confidence. When I say others, I’m not talking about close friends and families, but strangers and distant relatives. You can practice with people at counters and receptionists. Ensure that you make the conversation as short as possible because the goal here is to overcome shyness, not develop lasting interactions.
• Know what to say to her:
Yes, this should be the first step towards approaching her because it all touches down to your first impression. The first impression you make on someone is crucial, and having something interesting, engaging, and respectful to say can set the tone for the rest of the interaction. Before approaching her, at least take a few minutes to plunder the best way to start the conversation. This goes a long way towards keeping your conversations longer. It also helps boost your confidence.
• Start with a smile:
It is sometimes that a smile is a key to any conversation. A friendly smile can go a long way in breaking the ice and making the other person feel comfortable. In addition, it portrays your voice as pleasant, allowing the girl to feel relaxed and comfortable when she talks with you.
• Use compliments:
Before any girl goes out, she goes through the trouble of getting ready for that day. So they appreciate it a lot when you compliment their efforts. Not just her looks, complimenting her on something you genuinely like about her can be a great way to break the ice and make her feel appreciated. For example, “Excuse me, I just wanted to say that I love your outfit/hair/energy.”
• Introduce yourself:
Simply saying your name and asking for theirs can be an excellent conversation starter. For example, “Hi, I’m John. What’s your name?” Introducing yourself doesn’t pass you off as being romantically interested; it just shows how you are and can be.
• Make eye contact:
When you make eye contact, it demonstrates your confidence. It also proves how much you are into the conversation. Now, I know what you’re thinking. “But I’m too shy to even make eye contact with a girl” Don’t worry. As a men’s dating coach, we’ll work on that too. I mean, that’s why I’m here.
